About Me
I’ve loved stories for as long as I can remember.
From borrowing books from the neighbourhood bookmobile to filling notebooks with my own stories and poems, my passion for writing began in childhood and has grown into a lifelong calling. Today, I am a newly published children’s author who delights in creating stories that inspire, encourage, and spark imagination.
My journey has taken me from an inner-city neighbourhood to a nurturing country town, and eventually to a vibrant, multicultural city. Along the way, I have been shaped by diverse places, people, and experiences. Travelling across the seas to lands and cultures different from my own has woven storytelling deeply into my life.
With a degree in Teaching, I have spent many years working with children, nurturing their growth, wellbeing, and creativity. Born and raised in North Minneapolis, Minnesota, I developed a strong heart for advocacy early on. Through my time serving in missions, this passion deepened as I found purpose in supporting and uplifting others.
One of my greatest joys has been sharing these experiences with my sons—embracing both the adventure of travel and the privilege of motherhood along the way. Together, we have journeyed across Central America, Asia, Africa, and Australia, championing the wellbeing of children and learning from the world around us.
Now based in Sydney, Australia, I continue to share my love for storytelling through writing and poetry. When I’m not writing, you will often find me in the children’s section of bookstores and libraries, surrounded by stories that inspire my work. Through my writing, I invite readers to pause, reflect, and discover the beauty of a life filled with stories.
